Ruth Crawford was born and raised in Michigan but spent much of her adult life in Los Angeles. She received her M.F.A. in theatre at the University of Southern California, and later taught acting at her alma mater. Life was busy working at The Colony Theatre there, shooting dozens of commercials, and raising two lovely daughters with her actor husband, Hugh Maguire. Since returning to her hometown of Ann Arbor, Ruth has been fortunate to work in many local theatres. Recent favorites include Mornings at Seven at The Purple Rose, Riptide at The Tipping Point, Meadow Brook’s production of Arsenic and Old Lace, and The Gin Game at Williamston Theatre. Ruth just completed shooting a recurring role in the Showtime series American Rust.
