The Final Week of THE SMELL OF THE KILL

Posted by:

This show has had a wonderful, exciting run here at the Williamston Theatre!

After a great week of previews, and a wonderful Opening Night, we had a scare when Teri Clark had an auto-accident.  Thankfully, she was relatively unhurt and able to resume her performance duties, but only after Christine Purchis went on for two performances as her understudy!  Chris was wonderful, audiences responded very positively to her work, and we were able to keep the momentum of a wonderful production rolling steadily along.  I was quite proud of the whole team for our crisis-management!

Now the show will close on Sunday, and move to Tipping Point Theatre in Northville, where it will run for another few weeks!  I have no doubt that the audiences in Northville will love it as much as the crowds here in Williamston do, and am thrilled about our successful co-production with TPT – I’m very pleased that we got such a wonderful production from director Kristine Thatcher and her cast, and I’m glad we could share it with another theatre and their audience!

Coming up next is our co-production with Performance Network Theatre of Ann Arbor, IT CAME FROM MARS by Joseph Zettelmaier.  I directed the show, which just opened at the Performance Network, and we’re looking forward to bringing that wonderful cast up here for a limited 3 week run at WT starting on March 31st!

Hope to see you at the theatre!

Tony Caselli, Artistic Director, The Williamston Theatre
