The Williamston Theatre Announces General Auditions for its 2019-2020 Season.

Two contrasting, contemporary monologues with a combined total time of no more than 3 minutes. Headshot and resume.

We will be looking for approximately 15 actors Equity and non-Equity (male and female actors 18 and over) for our 2019-2020 Season. Production information is listed below and includes rehearsal and performance dates, and character breakdown. We will be doing 6 shows with runs ranging from 5-6 weeks. Our season runs September 2019 – August 2020. (Titles and dates subject to change).

Williamston Theatre Apprenticeship Program 2019-2020

The Williamston Theatre is seeking applicants for its 2019-2020 Season Apprenticeship Program. There are two available positions: the first running June 2019-June 2020, the second running August 2019-August 2020. This program is designed for a highly motivated and hard-working college graduate who is interested in launching their career in the theatre world. The Apprenticeship Position seeks to provide a bridge between the classroom and the professional realm.

Through the course of the program, the apprentice will gain hands-on experience by fulfilling a variety of roles and duties, including production assistant to the stage manager, assistant to designers, support staff for the managing director and development director, box office staff, house manager and general building maintenance.

The Williamston Theatre works with professionals in a myriad of fields, both from the Michigan theatre community and abroad and thus provides the apprentice with invaluable contacts, as well as professional resume credits. Those who are interested can also apply for EMC points and earn them through the course of the Williamston Theatre’s six-show season. The position pays $300 per week.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Good written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Backstage/Tech experience (including scenic construction, lighting, costume maintenance)
  • An eagerness to learn
  • The dedication to work closely with the small group of tight-knit Williamston Theatre staff
  • A patron-focused attitude
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • An interest in Arts Management, Production/Design, Stage Management or Technical Direction
